Here's how it all appears to be evolving... It all starts off when a small collection of motivated individuals within a community
come together with a shared concern: how can our community respond to the challenges, and opportunities, of Peak Oil and Climate
Change? They begin by forming an initiating group and then adopt the Transition Model (explained here at length, and in bits
here and here) with the intention of engaging a significant proportion of the people in their community to kick off a Transition
Initiative. A Transition Initiative is a community (lots of examples here) working together to look Peak Oil and Climate Change
squarely in the eye and address this BIG question: "for all those aspects of life that this community needs in order to sustain
itself and thrive, how do we significantly increase resilience (to mitigate the effects of Peak Oil) and drastically reduce
carbon emissions

Delta Regional Authority
The 240 counties and parishes covered by the DRA make up the most distressed area of the country. The disparities between
the Delta region and the nation as a whole are stark. As defined by the Economic Development Administration, virtually all
the counties and parishes in the region are distressed. U.S. Census figures indicate that population levels in many DRA counties
and parishes peaked before 1980. Of the 240 counties and parishes served, 238 have per capita income levels at or below the
national average. The poverty rate in the region is 55 percent higher than the national rate.

pay you to make it (for fuel). PLUS You pay no excise Tax.
Whiskey
INGREDIENTS:
10 lbs. Whole kernel
corn, untreated
5 Gallons Water
1 Cup Yeast, champagne
yeast starter
DIRECTIONS:
Put corn in a burlap
bag and wet with warm water. Place bag in a warm dark
place and keep moist
for about ten days. When the sprouts are about a 1/4" long
the corn is ready
for the next step. Wash the corn in a tub of water, rubbing
the sprouts and
roots off.. Throw the sprouts and roots away and transfer the
corn into your primary
fermenter. With a pole or another hard object mash the
corn, make sure
all kernels are cracked. Next add 5 gallons of boiling water
and when the mash
cools add yeast. Seal fermenter and vent with a water sealed
vent. Fermentation
will take 7-10 days. When fermentation is done, pour into
still filtering
through a pillow case to remove all solids.
Below is what I cant understand, Methanol is sold for $1.oo a gallon and even $1.70 gal for undiscounted (see below).
Why does it sell 5 to 10 times higher when we can get it. Methanex will sell by the Tanker load. anyone interested?

What is cellulosic Ethanol
Another fine supplier of soy oil and soy meal is not new but sure needs mention
again.
Gary Canada operates a soy and specialty products business within the England Dryer and Elevator,
Inc. England Arkansas. For biofuelers he is a good source for clean filtered 100 % soy oil. For soap makers,
his oil is cold squeezed, ie no chemicals, I use it to make the most vitamin rich soap that even has the government interested,
(see Gillett Natural Soaps). He is located in England along hwy. 65 just before entering England from Little Rock. Long
distance customers might note that he is not too far from Interstate 40 and the Little Rock hub.

Time sensistive request to all Farmers
If you are wanting a change in the Winter rotation of Wheat, please consider Canola
(rapeseed) This is a multipurpose winter rotation seedoil crop. The Meal is one of the highest protein sources going.
The yield weight is less but the price is more. Talk to your local coop ext. service. drop us a line if
you do.
Note added 1 Dec 2006: May be a bit late this year but keep in mind the potential yield in oil
per acre.
